Former industrial buldings often show strong contrast of light and shadow, their time seems to stand stilland they seem to be abandoned. they often radiate something of theit former spirit and power - like an empty arena that the actors and spectators have left - mysterious moods that the painter emphasisizes with his own colour compositions.
