Dr.Yo (Frankfurt am Main, 1981) is a Berlin based sculptor who transforms fleeting urban moments into precisely crafted wall sculptures. Born in Frankfurt am Main in 1981, he has explored graffiti's visual language since the mid-1990s, an influence that continues shaping his practice.
A trained communication designer based in Neukölln since 2009, Dr.Yo has created facade paintings, stage designs, and sculptures for international brands and cultural institutions before focusing on personal exhibitions since 2021.
His works capture city fragments—worn surfaces, letterforms, transportation textures—re-contextualized against white spaces as snapshots of overlooked urban details. Using deceptive techniques in his studio, he creates metallic effects with wood and lightweight objects that appear concrete, blurring boundaries between real, found, and fabricated materials.
