About the Collection in the Current Exhibition:

The work of Camille is influenced by a background in Performing Arts and Interaction Design. She consistently seeks to incorporate movement into her work, whether through audience interaction or the use of reflective materials that generate movement autonomously. The piece being shown is the second in a series involving audience participation. The concept is participatory; anyone can create a form or shape using the provided materials, placing the audience in the role of the artist. It is presented both as a sculpture and as something that can be moved and shaped freely. 

This series of artworks blends familiar elements with a nature-inspired essence, incorporating unconventional materials to create a fusion of nearly alchemical techniques. Initially resembling traditional paintings, they seamlessly integrate AI-driven elements to envision futuristic aesthetics. When viewed, the reflection distorts, immersing the observer in a sensation akin to experiencing a live simulation of the future.

Schaeffer draws inspiration from diverse environments, merging grounded and futuristic elements reflective of contemporary living. These contrasting themes are infused into her three mixed media artworks, offering an exploration of the intersection between nature, technology, and human perception.
