Liora has forever seen the world through a viewfinder, and the lens of powerful social conscience.
Susan Sontag said that being photographed is a violent, objectifying act. Liora’s local, international, and fine art work soothes that inherent violence and commodification by cultivating relationships and agency with every click of the shutter.
Whether she’s photographing people, landscapes, or still lifes, her work centers on how she sees subjects in this moment, how they see themselves, and where those ideas converge. She then delivers a stunning study of their unfiltered truth.
Currently based in Denver, Colorado (USA), Liora holds a degree in fine arts photography from Ursinus College, her feminist-focused & activist projects have repeatedly gone globally viral, with publications in the thousands.
Since 2012, her work has also been held above crowds in protests during the Arab Spring, and featured in Elle Italia, CNN, Good Morning America, Galerie Z22, The Huffington Post, D La Republica, Hotel Zena (a Viceroy establishment), and countless others.
