Rebecca Sulzer is an Italian-German photographer, born in Germany but raised in Sicily. Her work and storytelling embody the contrast between her origins, blending opposing influences into her artistic vision. She lives and works in Berlin.
Throughout her life, she has explored the fringes of society, immersing herself in environments and among people often invisible to the world. Her early years were marked by a deep fascination with what is hidden, shadowed, and dangerous—an exploration of the darker side of existence that led her to live in London and Spain before ultimately choosing Berlin as her home. Yet, paradoxically, it was through darkness and extremes that she found her way back to the light of her Sicilian roots—embracing the sun and a sense of carefree joy.
