Toninho Dingl

Toninho Dingl (Burghausen, 1988) is a contemporary artist who bridges geography and visual art through his unique perspective. He studied Geography (BSc) and "Geographies of Uneven Development" (MSc) at Paris-Lodron University in Salzburg, followed by Painting and Graphics (Diploma) under Prof. Franz Ackermann at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe.
In 2022, Dingl received the Melanchthon Art Prize from the city of Bretten. Prof. Josef A. Standl noted: "Even if he doesn't like to hear it, he is to visual art what Gerhard Polt is to language." His work has been exhibited internationally since 2014, with notable shows at prestigious venues including the ZKM Museum of Contemporary Art in Karlsruhe, Salzburg Easter Festival, and Gallery Johann König in Berlin. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at Better Go South in Stuttgart and participation in major art fairs like Art Karlsruhe and Enter Art Fair Copenhagen.
