This series of four self-portraits and one portrait explores the multiple dimensions of female identity, addressing both imposed expectations and moments of reflection and resistance to the norm. Through four images that navigate between the intimate and the socially constructive, the artist invites us to look at the complexities of what it means to be a woman, the tension between idealized beauty and personal authenticity. 

With “Imposed Beauty Standards” the artist confronts in an ironic way the social expectations of feminine beauty. By wrapping the face in adhesive tape, evoking the postoperative of a cosmetic surgery, she is reinforcing the tension between the idealized image and the distortion of the natural, challenging the aesthetic norms that society constantly imposes.
