The artwork 'Pepsi Light' by Claude Charlier is a painting crafted in 2004 with oil on canvas.

Multi-Media French artist Claude Charlier is known for his hyper-realistic paintings of vintage and discarded objects, including cigarette packs, vintage lunch boxes and crushed soda cans but also his famous black & white photography series like the "Body Language". Charlier was born in France and his childhood was heavily influenced by his training in classical music and fine art, which continues to inspire his aesthetic today.

He maintained a career as a professional fashion & advertising photographer which led him to travel the world for many years and live not only in Europe and the USA, but for many years in Tokyo. It was during these travels that he was inspired by a discarded soda can and decided to create his Pop World Project. Charlier’s choice to paint the discarded objects acts as a means to recycle them, and thus the beauty and memories associated with the consumers’ use.
