A Kiss is a polaroid artistic tx which was shot in 2011 for an exhibition on the theme of
Love. 
Having already been exhibited in several galleries throughout the years, and being
featured as the cover image of all the editions of Nicole Krauss’s latest novel, this work
was designed to be reproduced in any format and medium in multiple editions,
concerns the universality of falling in love and therefore, its potential manifestation in
every place and time.
The image depicts two subjects approaching each other in what seems to be an
intimate act, yet not fulfilled but only visually hinted at: the characters are
unrecognizable, both in their identity and sexuality. The two subjects are then
juxtaposed in what seems to be a mirroring of their own bodies, reflecting themselves
into the other, manifesting love not only as an act between two separate characters but
also touching on the theme of self-love.
The fading and uncanny colours evoke a sense of strangeness and distance, yet the
universality of the act draws us closer to the work’s visual identity.
