Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Manager Intern. As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategy to enhance our online presence, engage with our audience, and promote our exhibitions, artists, and events across various social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of creating compelling content and driving engagement on social media.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement.

  • Create compelling and visually appealing content for social media platforms, including Instagram, Youtube, and other relevant social media platforms.

  • Schedule, publish, and manage social media content across platforms.

  • Collaborate with artists, curators, and team members to gather content and promote upcoming exhibitions, events, and initiatives.

  • Monitor social media trends, track performance metrics, and analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, art world news, and relevant cultural events to identify opportunities for content creation and engagement.

  • Capture photos and videos during events for live and future use.

  • Create and maintain a content library for reusable assets.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled/ graduated in a degree program in marketing, communications, art history, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.

  • Proficiency in graphic design and photo/ video editing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop/ Premiere Pro/ Final Cut Pro/ Canva/ Capcut, etc) to create strong visual content for social media platforms.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of digital marketing principles, including SEO, content marketing, and influencer outreach.

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for brands or businesses, preferably in the arts or cultural sector is a plus.
