Agnieszka Sowisło-Przybył

Agnieszka Sowisło-Przybył was born in 1988 in Poznań. She studied at the University of Arts in Poznań at the Faculty of Painting and Drawing from 2007 to 2012. In 2012 she received a master’s degree in easel painting in the 11th Painting Studio of Prof. Marek Przybył. Since 2016, she has been working at the University of Arts in Poznan. In 2019, she received a doctoral degree in the discipline of fine arts. Since 2020, she has been an assistant professor in the IX Painting Studio of Prof. Marek Haladuda at the Faculty of Painting and Drawing of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Arts in Poznan. She has presented her works in Germany, Spain and the Czech Republic, among others.

„The process of painting pictures is directly related to a personal reflection on time. The moments spent working in my studio and the subjective sense of communing with the canvas very often stand in opposition to the dynamics of the modern world, accelerated communication, image culture and the often lack of the contemplative side of human life.“
